About Robin Brashear BSN, RN

Shekinah Family Ministries was founded in 2001 as a church and educational network restoring first century cultural context to the Gospel that includes inter-cultural collaborative relationships, mutuality between men and women, and flourishing resilient families. Robin was mentored and ordained by an international ministry with a strong emphasis on these principles in 2001; her current affiliation has been with Indigenous Messengers International since 2008. Robin’s professional nursing experience includes First Nations community health, education, and policy setting. She is a 2012 nursing alumni of LCSC in Lewiston and is in the process to achieve specialist therapy certification. Specialized trainings and experience with Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), trauma-informed policies, and promotion of resilience have led to expertise in ACEs prevention and abuse mediation for faith-based communities. Robin and her husband have six adult children in the LC Valley, three adult children who live out of state, several much loved in-law spouses/partners, and a growing plethora of treasured grandchildren. In her spare time Robin loves to cook healthy meals for friends and family from her permaculture gardens, create natural remedies from her herbal apothecary gardens, build legacy with grandchildren, and play with her service-dog/fur buddy Max(ine).
