About Ginny Foote
Ginny is originally from Southern California and moved to the Lewiston ID/Clarkston, WA, area in 1991. She loves this area and the community! In 2014 she heard about ACEs and was amazed by the information. Ginny realized that this information is valuable and relevant to everyone. To her, it was like learning that smoking causes many diseases and that wearing a seatbelt saves lives. Since then, she has been drawn to getting involved with organizations and individuals who are furthering the message regarding the impact of trauma and building resilience.
In 2015, she was an instrumental member of a group of individuals who worked with the community to create the LC Valley Resilience Coalition (LCVRC) which serves the surrounding counties in both Washington and Idaho. She served on the board of LCRVC as president for 6 years.
Ginny is a Certified Instructor of three resilience building courses. 1) Community Resilience Initiative’s (CRI) Trauma-Informed Course 1, 2) Community Resiliency Model (CRM). CRM was developed by the Trauma Resource Institute, and 3) Healthy Outcomes from Positive Experiences (H.O.P.E) by Tufts Medicine.
As a returning president to LCVRC, she is looking forward to expanding LCVRC’s support in Washington and Idaho, sharing trainings with community members, and gearing up for LCVRC's 2025 conference August 7.
